Buyer Value Option

An economical alternative to the full program.

Cross Country Relocation offers a Buyer Value Option program as an alternative to a traditional home-sale program. This program eliminates appraisals and inspections and, therefore, does not include an appraised-value offer. Instead, the transferee is responsible for finding a bona fide, qualified purchaser for the home.

Cross Country provides full marketing assistance to the employee, from helping find a qualified listing agent to providing and overseeing the implementation of an effective sales strategy. Cross Country also assists the transferee as he or she negotiates an offer. Once the transferee finds the offer acceptable, Cross Country-not the transferee-must sign the document. Cross Country then oversees the closing of the transaction and pays for all authorized closing costs. Finally, Cross Country compiles a final statement for the corporate client.

The Buyer Option Program is not limited to the selling side of the employee`s move, however-with company approval, transferees using this service also have access to an equity advance for the purchase of a new home, as well as home-finding and other destination-area services. These services include, but are not limited to: advance city information, area tours, mortgage pre-approval and home finding tours.

Instead, transferring, employees receive full marketing assistance until a market-based offer for the home is made. Then Cross Country Relocation purchases the property, closes the sale and the employee is free to move on to the new assignment. Transferees using this service can have access to an equity advance for the purchase of a new home. They can also have access to homefinding and other destination-area services.
